Dr. Andrew King, DVM
Dr. King earned his Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida and was awarded the DVM degree from the UF College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. After graduation, he completed his internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. King had worked in a number of private practice and emergency practice settings before opening The Cat Hospital in 2000. He has also served on several local animal boards and has been awarded many honors in the field of veterinary medicine. Your cat will enjoy the loving care he provides to his furry patients every time they come to The Cat Hospital. No matter what pains or disorders your feline is facing, trust Dr. King to thoroughly examine and treat your loved family member.
Dr. Jennifer Lukowski, DVM
Dr. Jennifer Lukowski grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In 2006 , She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, West Indies. Upon graduation, she practiced small Animal Medicine in Upstate New York for 8 years prior to moving to Dallas, Texas in 2014 to be closer to her brother and 2 nieces. Now that they have grown, she was happy to relocate to Sarasota to be close to the beach and live the outdoor life that Florida has to offer. Dr. Lukowski enjoys antiquing, paddle boarding, kayaking, biking, hiking and reading. She has 2-cats: Harry Potter and Freddie Meowcury, and a Chihuahua named Dobby. Dr. Lukowski has a special interest in geriatric medicine, feline medicine, and nutrition, but enjoys all aspects of internal medicine in dogs and cats as well as soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Stephanie Smith, DVM
Dr. Smith grew up in the heart of Cajun country in Louisiana. She then moved to New York City, where she lived for 13 years before attending veterinary school at Cornell University in upstate New York. After years of cold, snowy winters, Stephanie was eager to make her way to sunnier climes; she landed in Sarasota, Florida. In her free time, she loves bird- and wildlife-watching, traveling, cooking, family/friend gatherings, reading and playfully torturing her own cat Gauss.
